1686815 - Error while opening or saving report from Crystal report for enterprise 4.0

Symptom

Following error appears while opening or saving a Crystal report for Enterprise 4.0, "There has been an error downloading the list of objects from SAP Business Objects Enterprise.  Please try again."

 

Environment

Crystal Reports Enterprise 4.0

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Start Crystal Reports Enterprise 4.0
  2. Login to Enterprise repository as User A
  3. Open an existing report or try to save it as a new report

Cause

The rights were not properly set for the user's  Inbox.

Resolution

Give full rights to the user on their Inbox (Give full rights to User A to User A's Inbox).
