Symptom

 Getting default values instead of NULL Date field values, string field values or numeric field values after Exporting a Crystal Report to MS Excel.

Environment

 Crystal Reports 2008 (All Versions)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Crystal Report with having null values in a Date field
  2. Export the report to MS Excel.

Resolution

  1. Open Crystal report
  2. Click on “File” menu and Select “Report Options”
  3. Uncheck  “Convert Database NULL Values to Default “
