1687190 - Product Assigned as a Line Item in a Sales Order Doesn’t get Updated With the Latest Update in the Material Master Data


You have assigned a Product to a Sales Order but when you change any data in the Product Master data like Product Category or Base UoM, these changes are not reflecting in the Sales Order.


 When you assign a Product to a Sales Order and after Invoicing of the Sales Order line item, changes made in the Product/Product Category will not reflect in the sales Order.

There are two possible cases using which you can overcome the issue,

  1. If the Sales order line item is not invoiced (the Product ID field will be editable), then you can reassign the Product, so the changes made in the Product will reflect in the Sales Order / sales report.
  2. If the Sales Order line item is invoiced (the product ID field will be read-only) then the changes will not reflect automatically. Here, the possible way is to cancel the delivery and the invoice and then re-assign the Product in the line item.
