Symptom

Prior to Integrating BI4 to SAP Enterprise Portal you should ensure the prerequisites are met.

1) Pre-requisite : SAP Authentication
    Nothing has changed between BOXI 3.1 and BI4.0 for this point.
    > Log onto the CMC
    >  Go to the Authentication section. Select the SAP Authentication, In the Entitlement Systems tab, enter the values for System, Client, Application Server, System Number, User Name, Password SAP client, SAP System ID (SID) according to the SAP system.
    > In the Role Import tab, you should import the BW Role to your BI4.0.

    > Check that SAP Authentication is enabled on the Option tab.  If you want to have screenshot of the following step, you can have access to the following article:

2) Pre-requisite : Set up SSO for OpenDocument and BILaunchPad
In XI3.1 you had to modify the web.xml/web.config files. TO note: even though the wiki refers to the default folder the changes must be made in the custom folder highlighted in bold below

In BI4.0 the configuration has been improved. You need to modify the following files (in the <Install Dir>\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat6\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\config\custom )

 > You need to modify the following parameters :

global.properties [changed to "sso.enabled=true"]
BIlaunchpad.properties [changed to "authentication.default=secSAPR3"]
OpenDocument.properties [changed to "authentication.default=secSAPR3"]
