SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

1691477 - Failed to retrieve cluster name from the database. Reason: Unable to connect to the database using the provided connection string. Reason: ERROR2003(HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on localhost (10061)

Symptom

  • After clicking on Configuration tab in the properties of the SIA, receive the following error: "Failed to retrieve cluster name from the database. Reason: Unable to connect to the database using the provided connection string. Reason: ERROR2003(HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on localhost (10061)".
  • Cannot Login to MySQL through the command prompt and receive the error: "ERROR2003(HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on localhost (10061)".
  • Cannot start the BOE120MYSQL service from services.msc.
  • CMS.exe is missing from the task manager after the SIA is started.
