1692758 - Error Message: “Settings Cannot be Changed”, While Trying to Edit or Add an Activity to a Merged Change Project

Your requirement is to Edit/Add an activity in a Merged Change Project, but system throws the message:

'Settings cannot be changed'.

• SAP Business ByDesign
• SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Highlight your Merged Change Project, and select Open Activity List button.
3. Select the activity.

OR

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Highlight your Merged Change Project, and select Open Activity List button.
3. Select the activity.
4. Select Add to Project button.

Once the Change Project has been Merged no change can be done on this project. Only Confirm Go-live and Close Project activities are Open.

If Change Immediately button is available for the activity, you may change the activity using the below steps:

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to Overview view.
3. Search for the activity.
4. Select Change Immediately button and make the desired changes.

If the Change Immediately button is not available for the activity, a new Change Project will be required or in case you already have a Change Project with status Started, you can Add this activity to the Change Project and make the desired changes.
