1696497 - LifeCycle Manager in SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 gives error svn: Invalid Control character '0x1b' in path ...

Symptom

  • The error "svn: Invalid control character '0x1b' in path '/usr/sap/bi4/Checkout/serverB6400\0336/WORKSPACE/AW4AVT1AUhVAogA6P7OQv9c'" appears in LCM (see screenshot) when attempting to add an object to Version Management.
  • The Adaptive Processing Server logs when set to High, show the same error.
  • When looking in the Checkout directory and viewing invisible characters shows that there are extra characters in the directory name.

Example console output:

cd /usr/sap/bi4/Checkout/
ls
serverB6400
ls | cat -vt
serverB6400[\27
