1698173 - How to export SWF file to BI LaunchPad from Dashboard Design

 In Dashboard Design, we do not see any option to export SWF to BI LaunchPad.

• Dashboard Design 4.0
• SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.0

The functionality is not provided in Dashboard Design.

In order to export the SWF file to BI LaunchPad, perform following steps:

1. Create a dashboard in dashboard design.
2. Export the dashboard on local drive. ( File->Export-> Flash(SWF) )
3. Logon to BI LaunchPad
4. Click on New.
5. Select Local Document.
6. Click on Browse
7. Give path of exported SWF file.
8. Click on Add.

NOTE: This is a workaround, when you have SWF file and you'd like to save directly to BOE.

To save a SWF File from dashboard designer, just use the menu File -> Save to Platform and you should be able to save XLF as well as SWF in same file.
