1701115 - Error in phase XPRA_* during support packs update: Job RDDEXECL fails with SYNTAX_ERROR

Symptom

Upgrade phase MAIN_NEWBAS/XPRA* fails and background job RDDEXECL terminates due to a short dump.

  1. Syntax error in program "/SAPCND/SAPLCUSTOMIZING_SRV 

    The following syntax error occurred in program  "/SAPCND/SAPLCUSTOMIZING_SRV in include "/SAPCND/LCUSTOMIZING_SRVU32 " in line 16:
    "Type "/SAPCND/ENGINE_TYPE" is unknown"

  2. Syntax error in program "SAPLGSAC ".

    The following syntax error occurred in program "SAPLGSAC " in include "IF_REBD_CHARACT_MNGR==========IU " in line 64:
    "Type "BADI_REBD_CHARACT_BEHAVIOR" is unknown.
