1701292 - Error Message: DD.MM.YYYY to DD.MM.YYYY; profit center XYZ must be below a segment. It is also possible to flag both definitions on the same org unit.

When trying to activate the Organizational Structure, the system throws the below error message:

DD.MM.YYYY to DD.MM.YYYY; profit center XYZ must be below a segment. It is also possible to flag both definitions on the same org unit. (Where XYZ refers to the Org Unit Name).

 SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Organizational Management work center.
2. Select Edit Org Structures under Common Tasks.
3. Select Activate button and choose Activate All.

The cause for the above error message is that the Org Unit XYZ is marked as Profit Center from DD.MM.YYYY which is not allowed because there is an Org unit below which is a Segment.

A Profit Center should be always below the Segment.

It is either for the Org Unit XYZ to be marked as Segment from DD.MM.YYYY or for the Profit Center option to be unchecked for Org Unit XYZ from DD.MM.YYYY.
