Symptom

  • Error: "Server communication error occurred..."
  • Unable to add a report created in Crystal Reports from the Central Management Console (CMC)
  • When attempting to add a report created in Crystal Reports from the Central Management Console (CMC) or SAP BI LaunchPad, it fails with the error:

       "Adding Crystal Report "<Report Name>.rpt" failed. A server communication error occurred.
        All servers with kind rptappserver could be down or disabled by the administrator."
