1702165 - Unable to Change any Parameter to Zero Using Mass Change for Materials

When trying to change a specific parameter value of a material to zero using the Mass Change feature, the value zero is not being displayed in the default cell. Instead, the cell appears empty.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Product Data work center.
2. Select Materials view.
3. Select the list of materials and select Mass Change button.
4. Enter zero in a default cell for a particular parameter.
5. Select Enter key in the keyboard, the zero disappears.

The reason that zero (0) disappears is that zero (0) is always considered as a null value (no value is entered) in the default row. Hence it is not possible to change any parameter to zero (0) using Mass Change.

The system works as designed.

If you want to change the value to Zero, you can directly change in the Material instead of using Mass Change.

Note: If you want to change the value to any integer value other than zero, you can use Mass Change functionality.
