Symptom

Unable to get the list of values in sorted order of a parameter in Crystal Designer using Universe as a data source

Environment

  • Crystal Reports 2008
  • Business Objects 3.1
  • Universe Designer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a report based on Universe
  2. Create a Parameter in Crystal report.

Resolution

  1. Open Universe designer
  2. Select File menu -> Parameters -> Parameters tab
  3. From the drop down box make "Force_Sort_LOV " to "YES"
  4. Export the Universe

Note: In Crystal Designer make sure the following option should be unchecked

File -> Report Options -> Always sort Locally
