1702898 - Last error code set: Extraction of <file> failed due to missing free space

Symptom

  • You are upgrading Solution Manager to 7.1
  • During the PREP_INPUT/READDATA_EXP you see an error
  • The error message is : 
    Checks after phase PREP_INPUT/READDATA_EXP were negative!
  • You will see in the CAR.ECO log file 
    EXECUTING C:\usr\sap\SOLMANUP\abap\tools\SAPCAR.EXE -R C:\usr\sap\SOLMANUP\abap\exe -tsf "F:\Solution Manager DVD\SOLMAN_7.1_SR1_Krnl_Windows__OS_400\.\DATA_UNITS\K_720_U_WINDOWS_X86_64\DBINDEP\SAPMMC.SAR"
    ...
    ...
    SAPCAR: error opening F:\DVD (error 6). The system cannot find the file specified.
