SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

1704357 - EPM Add-in: Error launching office client: Interface not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040155)".

Symptom

  • User can't edit a report as soon as he saves and reopens it.
  • The edit report button is disabled for all reports.
  • User can't launch the Office Excel Client from Administration Launch Area nor From BPC Administration Client. 
  • User gets the error "Error launching office client: Interface not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040155)".
  • If user right clicks in any cell and goes to EPM and then clicks on any function nothing happens.
