Symptom

  • When scheduling a Java Program Object, program arguments can be specified to be passed into the program object when it is run.
  • When a program argument contains a character such as $ sign, only the characters before the $ sign will be used by the Java Program Object.  The rest of the characters will be stripped from the argument.
  • A list of characters that will behave in this way include the following: |, &, ;, (, ), !, ", ', *, ?, $, and `
