1707127 - Universe xxx Not found (XLS 000006). The data source cannot be generated for the specified data Source name.

Symptom

  • Getting the error message "Universe xxx Not found (XLS 000006). The data source cannot be generated for the specified data Source name xxx." when adding a query in Dashboard Design tool 4.0 based on a MS Access UNX universe as shown below:

Environment

  • SAP BI4.0 SP01 or SP02 and above
  • Dashboard Design 4.0

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Launch Dashboard Design 4.0
  2. Create a new query using Query browser
  3. Select the unx based on MS Access data source
  4. Add Dimesions and Measures in the Query Panel
  5. Run the Query and the error message is raised.

Note: IDT(Information Design Tool) and WebI Report work fine.

Cause

The issue has been identified and logged under Problem Report ADAPT01580965. This is the default behavior of the Product.
