Symptom

Upgrade to SAP Netweaver Enterprise portal 7.3 and above from any lower version like SAP Netweaver 7.0, 7.01 and 7.02 might result in a number of Portal Runtime errors.

Portal Runtime errors are obtained when navigated to System Administration -> Support.
- In the trace files, following exceptions can be seen:
- When you try to create / edit a system object or open a folder in the portal content directory, you receive a portal runtime error with an exception id
- Go to System Administration -> Systems Configuration -> Portal content -> Right click -> New -> System (from template).
- In the trace files, following exceptions can be seen:
- When trying to view the System Landscape Configuration, a portal runtime error is received.
- Go to System Administration -> System Landscape:
- In the trace files, following exceptions can be seen:

Portal runtime errors might be obtained when opening an iView.
- Also, portal runtime errors might be obtained when creating an iView in the portal. Following exceptions can be seen in the trace files:
com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntimeException: The object found is not an IView: <XXX>
