1712714 - Active Directory logins to Query as a Web Service (QaaWS) and LiveOffice fail for 3rd party web/app servers in Business Objects Enterprise BI 4.0

Symptom

  • Active Directory logins from Query as a Web Service (QaaWS) and LiveOffice fail for SAP BI 4.0
  • Issue has also occurred on Websphere 6.1 and could occur on other java application servers
  • The issue is most likely related to the JDK the web/app is running. It's possible other supported web/app servers will run across this issue as well
  • The solution can be considered a best practice as the class paths are not needed except for very old unsupported JDK's deleting them anytime will avoid this problem
  • Error on WACS An error occurred while logging on. (LO 02040) Active Directory Authentication failed to log you on. Please contact your system administrator to make sure you are a member of a valid mapped group and try again. If you are not a member of the default domain, enter your user name as UserName@DNS_DomainName, and then try again. (FWM 00006)
