It is expected that Stock Overview screen displays the products even when the on-hand quantity for that product is zero so that it's known whether the stock is available for this product or not.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Cause
In the current release of SAP Business ByDesign system, it is not possible to display the results for non-existing stock items.
It has been designed so, lets say, when enter a product ID and no stock item exists for that product in all the warehouses for this product. Then it is required to show a line for that product for every combination i.e. for site, location, logistics area, identified stock with quantity equal to zero. This would result in more number of lines and it would not be readable anymore, because of this, the stock overview only shows all the existing stock items.
Further when a product is not shown in the stock overview, it displays the information 'No inventory data found'.
Resolution
The system is behaving as designed.
