1713593 - HTTP 404 error on all .PDF report Instances after upgrade from XI3.1 SP3 to SP5 Websphere 7

• Recently upgraded from XI3.1 SP3 to SP5 on their AIX6 deplyment using Websphere 7
• Getting ERROR: HTTP 404 page not found errors on all .pdf Instances (both Crystal Reports & WebIntelligence)
• Other format Reports Instances like native formats, .doc and .xls work fine. Issue is only with .pdf instances.
• Using Fiddler traces, the issue can be narrowed down to PlatformServices.ear file
  /PlatformServices/content/filename/<name of report>.pdf
• After creating PlatformServices.ear with WDeploy Tool, the SP5 upgraded Version Fails with this error but the legacy SP3 version Works.
• The following reasons have been eliminated but issue  persists -
  • Websphere cache - by deleting cache in temp folder and re-deploying
  • JSF Conflicts - as all Web Applications are set to use local/application class loader first (parent_last)
  • Tomcat behavior - The SP5 PlatformServices warfile works fine on Tomcat
