1713678 - Error: "Failed to open the connection" after changing a report connection to JDBC on the server, for a report created in Crystal Reports

Symptom

  • Error: "Failed to Open the Connection"
  • After customizing a report connection on the server, the report now fails.
  • In the Central Management Console (CMC), after changing the Database Configuration of a report to use a Custom Database logon information, and set it to use JDBC, the report fails with the error:  "Failed to Open the Connection"
