Symptom

A Crystal report shows duplicate records when viewed from a Crystal Reports .NET SDK web application.

Environment

  • Visual Studio 2008
  • Crystal Reports 2008 SP3

Cause

  • Crystal report connects to CISAM datasource through ODBC connectivity.
  • Transoft ODBC driver is used for the ODBC connection.

Resolution

  • The Supported platforms guide for Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 does not list the Transoft ODBC Driver as a supported component.

  • Transoft ODBC driver is not supported with Crystal Reports 2008 even on SP5.
  • It is not supported means it is not tested with Crystal Reports 2008 and thus may or may not work.
