The BI4 ramp up phase released several patches, sp01, patch x,y,z then sp02, patch x,y,z, and so on. During the ramp up phase of the product (customer testing phase) there was an agreement that customers in ramp up should maintain the latest patch release while testing. When the product proved stable enough it would be released as GA (public).
