You are in the process of creating a new Labor Resource and have observed that there is no Cost Center available in the value Help under Cost Center Assignments.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Cost and Revenue or Supply Chain Design Master Data work center.
- Select Resources view.
- Select New button and choose Labor Resource.
- In General tab, assign Site XYZ.
- Go to Valuation tab, under Cost Center Assignments section; select the value help for Cost Center.
Cause
The cause for the issue might be because of below reason:
Initially the Org Unit XYZ might have marked as Business Residence and activated. So the system automatically created the Site XYZ. In case, if you have removed the Business Residence definition from the org unit XYZ and made another Org Unit as Business Residence then the Site XYZ will be active but not the Business Residence.
In Labor Resource, you can able to find the list of Cost Center only if the selected Site has a valid Business Residence because for a Cost Center, Business Residence is mandatory.
Resolution
The system works as designed.
To overcome the issue, you can either extend the validity of the Business Residence assignment of the Org Unit XYZ or assign another Site into the Labor Resource which has a valid Business Residence.
Note: In case, if you are using the Site XYZ then you can Block the status of that Site.
