Symptom

  • Email address contains an accented character
  • Error loading <Contact>: Email: invalid email address
  • Invalid email address error when writing to Salesforce
  • Email address without an accented character writes successfully to Salesforce
  • Trace the data through the dataflow and Data Services handles the data properly
  • Try to save new Contact in Salesforce with an email address containing an accented character and an error is returned stating 'Invalid Data'
