What is the best practice for creating dashboards on BW system?

We have two approaches

1. If the requirement is to visualize dashboards from Infoview /BI Launchpad, then we need to use the "Query Browser" option.

2. If the requirement is to display dashboards on SAP EP portal, then configure BICS connectivity (via the SAP BW connection).

NOTE: With "query browser" you can choose whether you define the connection to a BW cube or BW query whereas in SAP BW connection, you are bound to select BEX query.
