1723773 - Differences between PPDS, SNP and CTM PDS

Symptom

  1. After you transfer a PPDS PDS to APO system, in transaction /SAPAPO/CURTO_SIMU you can see the fields "Change number" and "I/O offset" which have exactly the same value as in ECC.
But it's not the case for an SNP PDS - these fields are not even found in its layout. These two fields are not relevant to a CTM PDS, either.
  2. In a PPDS PDS, you can see "Base Quantity" in activity tab; there is no such a field in SNP PPDS as SNP is bucket-oriented. Neither does it exist in a CTM PDS.
The base quantity plays an important role in PPDS PDS. All the variable operation duration and capacity requirement is dependent upon it, i.e. order quantity will be divided by the base quantity to calculate the operation duration and capacity requirement.
In a SNP PDS however, "MatCons" in Components tab will be used to calculate variable capacity requirement.
