1733830 - Modifying .properties configuration files doesn't take effect in SAP BI 4.x

Symptom

  • Modified BIlaunchpad.properties, CmcApp.properties or OpenDocument.properties file but the changes made are not seen after restarting tomcat
  • Authentication dropdown does not show up when viewing the login page
  • The System field is not visible when viewing the login page
  • stderr.log shows the following:

            SEVERE: Exception fixing docBase for context [/AdminTools] 
            java.io.IOException: Application base directory <Path>\Tomcat\webapps does not exist
