Symptom

Prior to Support Pack 4, some BEx queries took longer than expected to refresh through Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports or Dashboards

Other Symptoms:

  • Large numbers of RFC calls were being made to the BW system.
  • Metadata for all characteristics and key figures were being retrieved from the BW server.
  • Metadata for all hierarchies and levels were being retrieved from the BW server.
