The Software Update Manager (SUM) stops in the DETECT-SECSTORE-DIRECTORY step of the upgrade with the following error:
"com.sap.sdt.j2ee.services.servicesimpl.DetermineSecStoreDirectoryService
failed with message: com.sap.sdt.util.diag.DevelopmentSupportRequiredException: Assertionfailed for (instanceToUse != null) at com.sap.sdt.util.diag.SDT.check(SDT.java:38).
More information can be found in the log file /sap/SUM/sdt/log/SUM/DETECT-SECSTORE-DIRECTORY_xx.LOG."
