Symptom

After applying the latest SAP_JTECHF or SAP_JTECHS patch on the system, applications like WebDynpro console or NWA are unaccessible. When checking the default trace files, the following can be seen:

Application error occurred during request processing. Details:
  java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
com/sap/tc/webdynpro/services/sal/core/AbstractManager : cannot
initialize class because prior initialization attempt failed
Exception id: [0000000XXXXXXXX0000XXXXX0000XXXX000000XXXXX00]
