Symptom

  • Unable to open a MS Excel document.
  • Error is displayed when opening a MS Excel file from the BusinessObjects Enterprise repository.
  • When attempting to open a MS Excel document from the Live Office menu in MS Excel, it generates the error: Excel cannot open the file '<file name.xlsx>' because the file format or file extension is not valid.
