1739915 - How to configure HTTP Data Pump on SQL Server 2005/2008

Symptom

  • When creating an OLAP connection receive the error message:
    Failed to get connections for connection [servername] using session locale [English]
  • In Business Intelligence 4.0 we need to create HTTP Data Pump in order to create an OLAP connection from CMC.
  • There is no option in CMC to select Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Analysis services 10 to create OLAP connection based on SQL Server Analysis Services.
