1741510 - Creating or modfiying Web Intelligence reports from BI Launchpad throws CsEX (Red X) error in BI 4.0

Symptom

  • Creating or Modifying Webi reports on .unx throws CsEX error.
  • Error :"Resource is not reachable: 'csEX: Unexpected exception while calling the SL Service
  • Clicking on details displays:-
    com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.CommunicationException$UnexpectedServerException: csEX
  • When creating a new Webi report off of a .unx universe in the Rich Internet Application Java applet, after the universe is selected, the query panel doesn't display (nothing is shown).
  • Creating the report from Webi rich client on .unx works fine.
  • Creating the report on .unv from BI Launchpad works fine.
