1742272 - CMS fails after short period of time on Linux

Symptom

  • The Central Management Server (CMS) terminates after a few minutes.  In Central Management Server is shows as 'Started' initially and later 'Failed'.
  • The following may appear in the /var/log/messages log depending on the timing of failure:
CMS is unstable and will shut down immediately. Reason: The scheduler component cannot be started.
The root server reported an error Initialization Failure. (Reason: The scheduler component cannot be started.The scheduler component cannot be started. [SchedulerSubsystem.cpp : 433]  ).
  • Thread creation failed error appears in the CMS log when tracelog level set to 'High'
[CORBA type=IDL:omg.org/CORBA/IMP_LIMIT:1.0;minor=0;completed=1;reason=Thread creation failed] CServer::ServerIsActive: caught CORBA_SystemException for server <BOE ServerName>
