Symptom

  • Unable to upgrade any universes from BOE XI 3.1 to BI 4.0 using Upgrade Management Tool (UMT).
  • UMT is installed separately on a Windows host.
  • Error "Object info","2","CI_APPOBJECTS","<connection-name>","MetaData.DataConnection", Setting the property SI_ADM_ADD_SI_CONNUNIVERSE of the object named '<connection-name>' with id number <id> failed because a constraint was violated.
