Symptom

While running Upgrade Management Tool (UMT) on BI 4.0, an error occurs

com.businessobjects.upgrademanager||java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.businessobjects.upgrademanager.Activator not found!

Enabling UMT logs as per KB 1602551, the following error appears
