1744801 - AD logins are slow or failing following upgrading XI 3.1 SP3 to SP5

• After upgrading XI 3.1 Service Pack 3 to Service Pack 5 all Active Directory logins take 10 minutes (SSO, manual, client tools, etc)
• Installed XI 3.1 SP5 full version with XI 3.1 SP3 CMS DB and ran into the same issue as above. 
• Issue could occur in SP4, and SP6
• To note there are generally no error messages unless the login attempt times out so if there are errors in the CMS logs, event viewer, or during client tool login please check other known issues as well
• A customer had multiple distribution lists mapped in as per KBA 1558899 and 1 or more nested groups in a domain that was no longer reachable. This caused a similar login delay but was not the same issue

• SAP Business Objects XI 3.1 SP5, but it appears the issue could also appear on SP4 and SP6
• SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.1 has a fix out as well but only in pre-release.
