Symptom
You are configuring the Database Performance Warehouse in the Managed System Configuration wizard of a Solution Manager 7.1 or higher.
In the Enter System Parameters screen, the fields Monitor login name and Object source schema do not allow any changes to be made (the text fields display a blue background). The screen looks like this:
This disabling of the two fields is purposeful and is explained in detail in the Resolution section below (see the section titled "Background").
However, sometimes an error occurred during the initial execution of this wizard and the data was successfully saved even though the remote system setup wasn't successfully completed.
In these cases, you see only the 4 fields enabled above and you need to reset the wizard so you can start over.
