1745683 - SAP HANA Studio can't be uninstalled with hdbuninst

Symptom

  • The deinstallation of SAP HANA Studio doesn't work, although hdbuninst does not report any errors.
  • In the log file (hdbuninst.log, located in the user specific temporary folder, $TMP on Linux/Unix systems and %TEMP% on MS Windows systems) the following or similar error messages can be found:
    14:07:35.213 - INFO: Uninstalling SAP HANA Studio
    14:07:35.243 - ERR: Cannot open installation exclusively
    14:07:35.243 - ERR:   Install registry file not found: directory '\install' doesn't exist
    14:07:35.246 - INFO: Uninstallation done
