1746403 - "Update Objects" no longer adds the sample reports or program objects to the repository

Symptom

An adapt was included in XI3.1 SP5 to fix a file leak issue when 'Update Objects' was called from the Central Configuration Manager (CCM).  If the sample reports were already in the system and 'Update Objects' was run, the following error would be returned:

"Couldn't commit Report C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\Samples\en\Reports\Demonstration\Order Processing Efficiency Dashboard.rpt folderID 1120 # -2147213817 Error description: Failed to commit objects to server : Duplicate object name in the same folder."

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

This error would repeat for every report that already exists in the system and due to the issue, extra 0kb files were being added to the Input File Repository Server (FRS).  This in turn would cause warnings to appear when RepoScan tool was used to compare the FRS folders and CMS Repository for inconsistencies.  The 0kb file issue was fixed in ADAPT01508233 by removing the ability to add sample reports via 'Update Objects'.

Without the ability to add the sample reports, universes or program objects into the system via the CCM, the only method available now is to insert them via command line or batch file.
