Symptom

  • “Cannot Drop Here: Incompatible Objects” message appears while adding a merge dimension object in a block in Web Intelligence report
  • In the WebI Rich Internet Application (RIA/JRP) and WebI Rich Client (WRC), after manually merging dimensions in 2 or more queries, a "Cannot Drop Here: Incompatible Objects” error is displayed when trying to add 2 or more merged dimensions to the same table
  • After refreshing the document, the merged dimensions can then be added without an error
