1749066 - Crystal Report that is based on a synonym will display incorrect data when synonym has the same exact name as stored procedure

Symptom

  • If you have multiple schemas on the Database and these schemas have all a synonym with exact same names pointing to the stored procedure in the original schema; the report will only show the data that comes from the original stored procedure.
  • Also note that this only happens if you keep table prefix blank for the report object.
