1750509 - Payment Allocation - Posting Date Must Not be Before Initial Migration Date

You want to release a payment allocation ID but an error message appears: Posting Date MM-DD-YYYY, must not before initial migration date MM-DD-YYYY.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Payment Management workcenter.
2. Navigate to the Payment Allocation view.
3. Show All Payment Allocations and search for the specific ID.
4. Click Go.
5. Select Edit and then Release.
6. The error message appears: Posting Date MM-DD-YYYY, must not before initial migration date MM-DD-YYYY.

The Posting Date for Initial Migration is not set correctly.

To find out the Posting Date for Initial Migration:

1. Go to the General Ledger workcenter and navigate to the Master Data view.
2. Select the Companies subview.
3. Here the Posting Date for Initial Migration is displayed for your company/-ies.

The initial migration date must be in the past when the company was initially migrated.

Create an case and request support to set the correct Posting Date for Initial Migration via backend correction.
