1752143 - How to Re-activate the Cost Center which was Delimited in the Past?

You have delimited (End Validity) an Cost Center in a past date and after some times, you wants to activate again as a Cost Center. This document helps you with step by step procedure to re-activate the Cost Center.

There are two possible ways that you can reactivate the Cost Center which was delimited, they are

To extend the validity again from the last valid date:

1. Go to Organizational Management work center.
2. Select Edit Org Structures under Common Tasks.
3. Set the Effective Date (This date should be a date when the Cost Center was valid, this should be a past date).
4. Highlight the Org Unit.
5. Go to Timelines tab.
6. Change the Valid From date of the Cost Center attribute to a future date.
7. Activate the Changes.

To reactive as Cost Center but with different Time Period:

1. Go to Organizational Management work center.
2. Select Edit Org Structures under Common Tasks.
3. Set the Effective Date (This date should be a date when you want this Cost Center should valid again, this may be a future date).
4. Highlight the Org Unit.
5. Go to Definitions tab.
6. Check the Cost Center attribute.
7. Activate the Changes.
