1752266 - How to create or recreate an additional tempdb on ASE for SAP Business Suite - SAP ASE for Business Suite

Symptom

  • When running SAP Business Suite on SAP ASE and additional tempdb (temporary database) are required to separate the usage of default system tempdb.
  • Since the "tempdb" database is being used by the SID database and "saptools" database (DBACockpit).
  • An additional temporary database, "saptempdb",  already exist by default for the newer version of Business Suite on ASE.
  • To decrease the size of "saptempdb", best solution is to drop it first, and then recreate it with a smaller size.
