1752909 - Crystal Report Processing Server child process is unstable and crashes under load

Symptom

  • Crystal Report Processing Server child process (crproc.exe) or Job Server child crashes intermittently under load
  • Crystal Report was based on Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures
  • In the application event log the following errors are reported:
       - A failure occurred while the server was processing report file <REPORTNAME>
       - A subprocess in the processing serer was forced to terminate
       - The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( PageServerChildCrash ) cannot be found
  • In the call stack the crash occurs in DbValue::clearValue or DbValue::setValue
