1754067 - "UMEBackendConnection does not exist" message at AS Java startup

Symptom

The startup of UME service fails with following errors:

  • in dev_server file:
     
    /usr/sap/<SID>/<inst_nr>/work/dev_server0:
    ERROR => Java node 'server0' terminated with exit code 2150
      
  • in std_server file:
     
    CSN Component [BC-JAS-SEC-UME], DC Name [sap.com/com.sap.security.core.ume.service]
    com.sap.engine.frame.ServiceException: Start of UME service failed.
    Check help topic "Start of UME Service Failed". Technical details:
    com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (106) JCO_ERROR_RESOURCE: Destination UMEBackendConnection does not exist
      at com.sap.security.core.server.ume.service.UMEServiceFrame.start(UME ServiceFrame.java:465)
    ...
    Caused by:
    com.sap.security.core.persistence.datasource.PersistenceException:com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (106) JCO_ERROR_RESOURCE: Destination UMEBackendConnection does not exist
