1755211 - Live Office: Excel Add-in crash

Symptom

  • Not able to enable / launch Live Office Excel Add-in after installing Live Office.
  • This is specific to few client machines.
  • The installation completed without any errors. Post installation, the Live Office add-in functionality is missing
  • Going to the Excel Options and the add-in under enabling COM Add-ins will crash the application with the following error message (the error message is in Portuguese language but it says something like " you need to disable the live office 4.0 add-in order Excel to work properly…"  
  • Pointing to the .dll file through the Excel > Options does not help either.
